Become A Member Founded in 1929, the Junior League of Augusta, Georgia is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. 
How do I join? Women interested in joining the Junior League of Augusta are required to have a Sponsor. Sponsors can be Active or Sustaining members of the Junior League of Augusta who are in good standing, or members of the current Provisional Class, who have completed the Provisional course requirements. To be eligible for membership, a Prospective Member is required to register for and attend an Open House with their respective Sponsor. These informal orientation sessions will give Prospective Members the opportunity to learn more about the Junior League of Augusta. If you do not know a current member of the Junior League, and would like you be matched with a Sponsor, you can indicate so in your Prospective Member Packet. To be considered for membership, Prospective Members must be 23 years old by May 31, 2010. Open Houses will be held on the following dates: Thursday, March 11, 2010, 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 3 - 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 6 - 8 p.m.
All sessions will be held at the Junior League Office, located on the lower level of Surrey Center, 363 Highland Avenue, Augusta, GA. Steps to becoming a Member The following is a checklist of all necessary requirements in order for a Prospective Member to be considered for the 2010 - 2011 Provisional Class. - Secure a Sponsor*
- Make a reservation to attend an Open House Session**
- Complete the Prospective Member Information Sheet
- Have your Sponsor complete the Prospective Member Proposal
- Sign the Prospective Member Agreement
- Pay Prospective Member Dues by May 1, 2010
