Little Black Dress Initiative

posted on

Now in its 3rd year, the Junior League of Augusta’s Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI) is an advocacy campaign that seeks to raise community awareness on the issue of poverty. During the week of February 5-9, 2018, several LBDI Advocates will wear the same black dress or outfit for five consecutive days to illustrate the effects poverty can have on an individuals access to resources, confidence and professional opportunities.

This campaign will focus on both awareness and the raising of funds for ReStart Augusta and the community programs of the Junior League of Augusta, including its Foundations program designed to help equip women with the tools necessary to break the cycle of poverty.

Support the LBDI today by giving a donation. Donations are being accepted now through February 27, 2018.
