COVID-19 Member Update

Dear Members:

As you know, the safety of our members, guests, staff, and the agencies we serve are always top of mind, and, as such, the following changes are effective immediately:

  • At this time all Service Learning Days (DIAD), Foundations classes and training events have been cancelled until further notice. Please do not worry about your member obligations. All will receive the appropriate credit needed.
  • In an effort to practice social distancing, leadership is asking that members not gather or use the league office until further notice. Please make use of Google Meets or Zoom for any committee meetings. There is excellent information and training available through AJLI. You can access this through www.jlaugusta.org.
  • Office Manager, Amber, will be working remotely. Please email her should you need something.
  • Leadership will be providing further guidance regarding Placement Day and May Dinner once all the details are confirmed.
Please continue to use The Junior League of Augusta social media platforms as a way to stay connected to one another and share any needs that other organizations in our community may have.   We understand this unprecedented and fluid situation also impacts work schedules, small business and service industry business owners, and the need to care (or find care) for children during the work week due to school closings. As community leaders, we ask you to take CDC, WHO, state and local updates seriously and set the example for our neighbors. You may not be at high risk, but someone you interact with indirectly in public may live in a high-risk household.
Thank you in advance for your help and leadership as we continue to monitor and adapt to this situation.
Sincerely,
Wendy Brown
President
